WAKA WAKA, WE'VE BEEN IN LAPA

We went to your favorite city for 5 days. Lapa met us with street art and colours. We loved the place. It’s been five busy days with a lot of new experiences. We saw a football match, flamenco against real porto. Even if you don’t like football, the atmosphere at the stadium makes you happy. We also went to the ststue of Jesus Christ. He was big. Finish the sentence. The sunset in Ipanema beach was nicesen, everybody was clapping when the sun went down. We walked a whole day to find a piercing/tattoo shop. Suddenly we found it, and pierced our ears. Lol. We did go to the favela, but not with a local… sorry! It was nice to see how they live. For those who don’t know what a favela is, it’s a poor community witch is controlled by drug dealers. Some of the favelas in Brazil are now controlled by the police because of all the crime. Its 950 favelas in Brazil and all of them are controlled by 3 different groups. One night Mama and No-Name went to a street party in Lapa. The bars were out in the street, and everybody was dancing to the samba music. It was a joy. The last night we went to the samba school. It was some crazy dancing out there. We tried, but didn’t have the chance to dance so fast. We have never seen a boy moved his bootey like that before. They had some serious skills.

We lived in Books Hostel, in Lapa. It was a very cool hostel, with a lot of paintings and graffiti. The staff was very helpful, and joined us at the match and the samba-school. It was a concert at the hostel one night, with a little bit reggae. Should been more. We liked Rio, it is a city we want to visit again. Btw, we kissed a Latino lover and tasted vitaminos. Because of some language problems we didn’t get it with banana and strawberry, so it didn’t taste so good. But we will try again.

Now we are in Ihla Grande. We’re ready for a few relaxing days, with surf, diving and chilltime.
