Woshala, we did some serious hiking!

Since you’re the mountain man this blog is for you. We did the inca trail in Peru!! That was four hard days of hiking in a beautiful landscape. We was a group of seven beautiful people, 3 Danish, 3 Norwegian and one Canadian (play hockey). It was a lot of porters running up the hills with our luggage. It was like seeing you running up the lazy man peak.

The first day we started out pretty easy. Flat-up,flat-up. We passed a few Inca ruins, and the guide did some serious history talking. It is incredible how the Incas lived and build these amazing buildings. The second day was the hardest, with 5 hours straight uphill. But we made it to the top of Dead woman’s peak. It was a great feeling to be on the top. When we got back to the new camp after 8 hours of hiking, the legs were shaking like craaazy. The third day we were pretty tired after dead woman’s peak, but we did well and we were running the last 10 minutes down to the camp, just like the porters. Now we were just a few kilometers away from Machu Picchu. The last day the porters woke us up insane maniac early; 3.40, boom. It was 2 hours fast hiking before we got to Machu Picchu. Everybody was so excited. But it was a little disappointing when we came to the sungate, it was all clouded. But luckily when we got down to the lost Inca city it started to clear up. We took some fancypancy pictures, and the guide told us everything about the place. The guide was a really good one, and took us back in time with his spiritual way of being. We liked him a lot, love u Saol(cocaman)!!!

The camping life was very luxury, not like a regular camping. We got four-course dinner every day, in the lunch and dinner. They served the food on silver barrels, woke us up with coca-tea, gave us hot washing water and packed up and down our tent. We didn’t expect that at all. The porters were so cute. We got a really good connection with the Danish girls, and went out clubbing in Cusco after the trail. That was a lot of fun. Cusco is a very nice city, and we got a massage for 20 soles, nicesen. We recommend you to do this trail, it was a fantastic experience.
Hope you’re doing well in Switzerland, see you next winter.
